Founder of CapVertHaiti
After moving from Haiti to the United States for graduate school, I have made many connections for CapvertHaiti, and exploring business opportunities. CapVertHaiti is an organization that works in the promotion of urban agriculture, waste management and environmental education, making it a hub for environmental and social change in Haiti. We have partnered with two environmental institutions, one in Orlando and the other is in Indianapolis. I had the chance to volunteer and share my vision with them which led to the partnership. There are many projects that I am working on whenever I have the chance to go back to Haiti so we can start implementing our vision.
On the other hand, I was able to invest in a few startups here in the U.S. and they are doing very great. I also plan to launch a business in Indianapolis, IN. as well as Orlando, FL. When my family decided that I was going to move in the U.S., I didn’t want to because of my commitment to CapvertHaiti, and I knew my studies would affect the performance of the organization. As I expected, as soon as I left, all of many members lost interest in continuing the vision we had. But I guaranteed this, we may be silent now, but the vision will remain the same and will be achieved!
